To create your bunny you will need
- A cardboard box
- A selection of coloured paper
- Scissors
- Colouring pens
- Glue
Create your Easter bunny in 4 simple steps:
- Start by covering your box in your coloured paper of choice. We decided on blue!
- Next carefully cut a mouth out of the box and fold the cut pieces inwards. Remember the mouth has to be big enough to catch your eggs or balls
- Then cut out some ears from the same coloured card. These could be as big or as little as you like. Stick these to the top of the box
- Finally, give your bunny a face by either drawing on the box with coloured pens or by adding cut out pieces of paper. We used white paper top create a nose, eyes and a mouth
How to play
To play the game, give each child the same number of balls – ideally each child gets one colour. The aim is to get as many balls into the bunny as you can – a great way for children to practice their hand-eye coordination and develop their social skills with communication and turn taking.
Why not add another Easter twist and use egg shaped balls – this will add an additional challenge owing to the unusual shape!
To maximise fun, why not introduce a second game using the bunny ears? Create some hoops from card and see if your little ones can hook these on your bunny ears?
