Materials you will need:
- FREE Pirate Download
- String or Elastic
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black Pen
- Sticky Tape
- Cardboard Tubes x 2 (one should fit snugly inside the other)
- Coloured paper
- Accessories to decorate such as gems and glitter
To make the Pirate Hat, follow these simple instructions:
- Start by printing off your free downloadable pirate hat template and carefully cut out each component.
- Glue one side of the two black bands together and glue the second side to fit your child’s head.
- Then glue the front of your hat onto the black band (feel free to decorate this however you like!)
- Finally, thread some string through the eye patch and there you have your hat and eye patch!
To make the Pirate Telescope, follow these simple instructions:
- Decorate the narrowest cardboard tube by covering with a sheet of coloured card. Glue it into position and trim off any overhanging card with scissors.
- Next, cover the second tube with a different coloured card and secure in the same way.
- Fit the smallest tube inside the larger tube.
- Using your gems, glitter and other accessories, decorate your telescope to your hearts content. Once dry your telescope is ready to play with!
